Conceptual Estimating– Owners in many cases rely on historical costs or help from their design team to establish the budget for a potential project. This budget is traditionally developed before design begins or the project has been fully vetted. This budget is then often used as a part of an overall capital plan and submitted to the Board of Directors for approval. Projects are either approved or shelved based on their ROI and impact on the overall business which is based on the budget pricing used. The result of bad budgeting, either high or low, determines what our clients do not only today but tomorrow as well. At SLCC we provide project budgeting based on current market pricing, detailed analysis, and development of the scope, even prior to the project being fully vetted. This allows our clients to make educated decisions on project viability and know they can go to the board with costs they can stand behind.
